The 2008 RAWR Cup is the name of the first player-run tournament within Guild Wars, organized by the Rebel Rising guild. GuildCafe is sponsoring the event, and is offering prizes including gaming network cards. ArenaNet is also giving away reward points to some winners, which may be redeemed for in-game prizes. The RAWR Cup has been designed to offer a competitive experience to players of all skill types. There are 3 different divisions that will cater to 3 different types of players: The Dragon division which is designed for seasoned players, the Tiger division for the players who spend more time with the PvE aspects of the game, and the Phoenix division, for players in between.

While the RAWR Cup is created as a Guild vs. Guild tournament, additional prizes are given away in several contests to guilds and individuals that don't have the roster or the time to compete in the actual tournament.

The second series of the tournament was held on April 5th, 2008.
