Discussion

Issue

This skill obviously was intended to work in conjunction with i.e. Plague Touch. However it's meaningless to transfer Dazed on Monk, when you can't hit him to trigger Dazed effects. Transfering to other Monk is as effective as it should be. Also in terms of damage/pressure Dragon Slash is much better.

Suggestion

Rework as an elite version of Sever Artery

5Image:Tango-adrenaline.png Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits, you strike for +10...34...40 damage and target foe begins bleeding for 10..22..26 seconds.

Issue

Poor side effect. Bonus damage is nice though.

Suggestion

Make it a sword version of Eviscerate (with bleeding instead of deepwound).

Problems
Bad Side Effects
Better Elites out there
Suggestion
6Image:Tango-adrenaline.png Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits, you strike for +10...21...27 damage and targe foe suffers from Cracked Armor for 15 seconds. If Quivering Blade is Blocked you suffer from Cracked Armor and Weakness for 10s.

lessen the damage and cause a condition well suited for sword wars, instead of disabling and causing daze that doesnt effect the war much make it cause 2 conditions that hinder the war slightly. Sneaky Take a Bow 01:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unused skill

Issue
In theory this skill will do good damage for low adrenaline but when blocked it's disabled (and in the current meta there's a lot of blocking). However, the idea then is that you can use Plague Touch or somesuch to throw the Daze you get onto your target (like Headbutt).
The only problem with this is that it's not powerful on it's own (Cleave does the same damage and is for a preferred weapon, yet it still isn't take), and that the disable duration hurts. What's more, if you don't go W/N, the Daze doesn't make up for it at all, and if you do you still have to use up your secondary and a skill slot.
Suggestion
Quivering Blade. 3 Adrenaline.
Elite Sword Attack. If Quivering Blade hits you strike for +8...27...32. If it strikes a critical hit, it deals a further 4...14...16 damage and causes Weakness and Bleeding on your target for 3...10...12 seconds. If Quivering Blade is Blocked, it is disabled for 4 seconds and you are Dazed for 8 seconds.
Reasoning
Adding a bonus on a critical hit would improve the skill, especially if combined with the lower cost since it would be more spammable. However, the block effect still applies so warriors who simply used it mindlessly wouldn't be able to spam it since it would likely get blocked, and thus disabled (although they would still be able to use Plague Touch to throw the Daze back on people).
In essence, it would (hopefully) promote skilled play since the ideal thing to do would be lineback or attack someone without blocks with it (though ofc their monks may still help them out, but not straight away, and there're Aegis and things, but they're falling out of favour a bit anyway). Alternately, you could get blocked with it then use Plague Sending or whatever to throw the Daze onto a different target, then attack them.
What's more, the critical bit couldn't really be abused, because sword sins (who would get loads of use from this) don't get much of a benefit from criticals compared to sins with other weapons.

[edit] Don Knowall's Issue -- 9 August 2008

7th August 2008 Update issue

Inflicts dazed condition on moving foes. How many foes are moving when they want to cast a spell?

Suggestion

Make it inflict dazed condition on foes casting a spell, it doen't need to cause skill interruption in the same strike, just the opportunity.
