Feedback talk:User/Eclipse143/Balance suggestions for Necros

That well thing might not be as effective as one may think. There are plenty of ways to scatter people from a certain place (such as Barrage or Meteor Shower), dealing a lot of AoE damage and some pressure, even with 5 Wells of Blood and 5 Marks of Blood. If the necros still stand because of the wells' regeneration stacks, there are still some ways to get them away from the wells. And those skills I mentioned will not be part of a "specialized" counter-well build, since any not-that-uncommon necro, staff-wielding ele, longbow or axe ranger or hammer warrior will have those skills (and we don't even have all the profs, there could be others with even more movement control). While their healing might be significant when stacked, their enemies will have little difficulty to keep them away with knockbacks, launches or fear followed by knockdowns, stuns, freezes, snares, etc. Life Siphon will have a 12s recharge, so it won't be exactly spammable, but more of a medium-gravity self-heal (or damage-dealer, but not so much a "spam-to-be-invencible" skill). About the minions, while it may seem overpowered, don't forget that a) you can escape from the minions while they take their time shaking their heads, b) you can't control where your minions go (AFAIK) and c) it will probably be extremely energy-consuming to explode 5 minions with a 161 energy skill. (Plus, in PvP, the support profession will also help to counter their damage, with the aid of the ele, etc.) Still, it's good to remind them of this combos now, before the game releases and they have to make an update nerfing everything. But I think they didn't forget the possibilities you mentioned, seeing how you need to be in a certain place to benefit from wells and marks, and how much others can control your position. --217.129.133.230 02:46, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Too much theorycrafting, IMO. I think any build that requires you to sit in one place is at a disadvantage, and it shouldn't be terribly difficult to disrupt. Five necros stacking all of their healing skills in the same place? How about five eles chain-casting meteor shower? Skyy High 20:38, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
I love how the "NERFNERFNERF" has started even BEFORE the game is released, let alone even a skill list or full profession list. One thing to note is that ALL skills in GW2 seem to have stronger effects than GW1 counterparts. Some people are acting like GW2 skill sets will be put into GW1. A strong skill counters a strong skill, the end effect is simply more emphasis on improvised tactics, which is a good thing. But please don't try make builds before you even know how skills work, for all we know wells will provide a gw1 equivalent of +1 hp regen.K2K 08:07, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
