Good Idea[edit]

I think this idea is a really good one and hope it is already in the works for GW2. Allowing more control over guild ranks helps guilds in a number of ways. Leaders can allow all members to recruit without risking giving the power to someone who is going to kick everyone from the guild. Over 4+ years of guild wars I have seen this happen more than once.

I would make one suggestion and allow guilds to name the individual ranks themselves. This gives a bit more flavor to individual guilds if they want it. If the guild system becomes even more complex to include things like guild storage then this could become even more desirable. Torma 05:46, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

I defintly agree with this idea. A guild could have a board of directives instead of one guild leader dictating the guild or doing all of the work. Also chosing what each rank entitles the players' power in the guild; So a newly recruit can't raid the guild storage (if there is going to be).
With this being said everyone should have the right to use the guild hall's services and activly participate in the guild so not to grief anyone by denying them gameplay. It would really be poor play if you just joined a guild and your not even allowed into the guild hall or not allowed to use the merchants there.

Plus one support point for this idea. Some alliances choose to kick a guild if a troller is cussing the AC while no leader or officer is online. It would be very convenient that at least one officer could accept the re-invitation if logs in faster than the leader. Also between officers, some newly promoted have ability to recruit (spam) but not administration concepts. In my guild I make that distinguishment by which officers are assign basic "jobs" as recruitment/faction farming and other officers administrative tasks as diplomacy and management. It would be conveniently safe if newly promoted officers would NOT have the option to kick until it reaches a certain period of time. That would benefit my leadership by creating 3 different categories of officers. Thumbs Up! User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji talk 07:20, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
