This seems a little unorthodox, but I wouldn't complain if they implemented something like this. I am, however, against player-to-player contagiousness. There's a tiny window for griefing when you can make another player sick. Personally, I prefer environmental effects. For example, rapid changes in climate could be adverse for a character, and acclimatization would have a benefit. Still, with some polishing I think sickness could work. WoW released a patch a few years back that introduced a virus that you can become afflicted with if you get attacked by some monster. Because the developers didn't limit the effects of the virus, it didn't take long for it to reach across and kill players in multiple servers. Oh, also; Plaque is what you get on your teeth - Plague is the one referring to disease. (Xu Davella 22:16, 17 February 2010 (UTC))
I was thinking about that as soon as I saw the title. Also, people can choose to be diseased forever, if they want to: Chalice of Corruption. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 22:20, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
I guess I haven't heard it all then, I didn't know this was another "Make it more like WoW" suggestion. In response I'm now completely against this idea. I'm sick of the plagiarism and repeated attempts to emulate that ubiquitous game. Xiaquin Crystal Snowflake.png 17:40, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
