I completely agree with the fact that, yes, things are exceptionally expensive.... (I couldn't say I'm a wealthy player.....) Prices definitely need to have something done to them.--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 03:22, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

The things we need[edit]

Here's a tip. Nothing in GW that costs multiple ectos is needed. It's entirely a matter of vanity that people want to spend ridiculous amounts on armour, voltaic spears, DBSes and so on, not to mention tonics, miniatures, etc. The items that come closest to being necessary are armour runes, and even they can be dispensed with. GW equipment doesn't have a major impact on your power level, unlike virtually every other RPG out there.

If you want to make money without doing (PvE) farming, then take advantage of the higher prices instead of complaining about them. Here are some possibilities:

  • Farm Zaishen keys in FA and JQ, by converting Imperial faction to Balthazar. You can make about 1 zkey per 2-3 battles if you keep winning, or 3-5 otherwise. They sell for 5.5-6k each, which is actually a decrease from before the update introducing Imperial faction.
  • Do the Wanted quests from Lions Arch Keep. A stack of war supplies sells for 60-70k.
  • Do the Vabbi quests that award trade contracts, and sell them to people wanting rubies or sapphires. A ruby/sapphire is currently about 7k, so each contract is worth 1k.
  • Do the daily Zquests, which are easy now with 7-hero teams. 500 copper zcoins converts to 1 gold zcoin, which is currently worth about 12-15k (a price which will probably come down once the craze for envoy weapons wears off).
