As a member of the Luxon [KISS] Alliance, members of Elysium enjoy the many benefits of being in a large cummunity of players all banded together under a common tag. We have our own unique area on the [KISS] forums, and are free to use the KISS and SiCK ventrilo server.
Elysium is a very relaxed guild, which seems to endlessly attract players to our halls. People immediately feel welcome when they enter Elysium, and we like to promote equality and understanding among players. Elysium is not currently recruiting, due to the guild being full of active players. Space generated in the guild by natural turnover tends to be 2-3 free spots per month.
[edit] The Meaning of Elysium
- In Greek mythology, Elysium (Greek: Ἠλύσια πεδία) was a section of the Underworld (the spelling Elysium is a Latinization of the Greek word Elysion).
- The Elysian fields, or sometimes Elysian plains, were the final resting place of the souls of the heroic and the virtuous. It is associated with the Christian Heaven.
- Elysium is an obscure and mysterious name that evolved from a designation of a place or person struck by lightning, enelysion, enelysios. This could be a reference to Zeus, the god of lightning, so "lightning-struck" could be saying that the person was blessed by Zeus.
- Elysium was a pagan expression that passed into the usage of the Christian patristic writers as a synonym for paradise.
- In the fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien, the Elysian Undying Lands, the home of the gods, elves, and a select few others, can only be reached by crossing the western sea.
- If you search the word Elysium in any Enligsh Dictionary, one of the meanings is "any place or state of perfect happiness; paradise."
- The english translation of Schiller's 'Ode to Joy', in its original 1785 version, has the following verse:
- Joy, beautiful spark of Gods,Daughter of Elysium.
- We enter, fire-imbibed, Heavenly, thy sanctuary.
- Thy magic powers re-unite what custom's sword has divided.
- Beggars become Princes' brothers, where thy gentle wing abides.

As well as being active in working up faction for the alliance, Elysium members are very active on the PvE side of the game. To support this and bring our members together for some regular guild fun, we encourage our members to bring forth any ideas they may have and to share them with anyone so that they know we listen and feel happy to help any member with any problem.

Elysium as well as the rest of the KISS and SiCK alliance has the use of an unlimited ventrillo server that allows all members of the alliance to make friends and try to improve their gameplay as well as have some fun.

Being part of the [KISS] Alliance, our members enjoy having access to a central forum, which allows us all to stay in touch and up to date with what's going on in both the guild and alliance. We frequently organise events for the guild via the forum, so it's tends to be our central hub to make sure people are in on all the fun.

All of the guilds in KISS participate in such events as the Riddle Me This and on the spot AC quizes and such. We would like to invite all of the KISS and SiCK guilds to join in the fun and show off what you know, who you are and how you play in this great fun filled alliance.
