Which is better Conjure Nightmare or Conjure Phantasm?[edit]

Which is better Conjure Nightmare or Conjure Phantasm? 1.Conjure Nightmare: Pros: -8 health degen, Up to 19 seconds of degen with runes, 1 second activation time, 5 second recharge. Cons: Factions only skill, 25 eng is harder to manage.

2.Conjure Phantasm Pros: -5 health degen, Up to 19 seconds of degen with runes, 1 second activation time, 5 second recharge, Core skill,10 eng use only.

Overall: If you have factions and have enough energy for a whole build, ( Mostly elementalists ) Conjure Nightmare is more usefull for better health degen. If you don't have factions and you don't have enough energy to include Conjure Nightmare, Conjure Phantasm is better not as much degen but works. ~C Cooldudecool

Nightmare is used with Auspicious for e-,anagement, mainly. Dark Morphon 10:18, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Before this last update it costed 25 energy and with only 3 more degen and 15 more energy cost this was less useful than conjure phantasm. Now it cost 15 energy and thats 3 more degen for 5 more energy so now its much better. But as an energy management skill together with auspicious incantation this is now somewhat lame. --Cursed Angel 23:50, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Is actually the first time I've ever seen a cost decrease being viewed as a nerf more than a buff. --Ckal Ktak 14:05, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I find that this skill works great with 15 energy with a Necro build with Soul reaping doing my energy management for me. Ooom 16:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Although the recent "buff" is more of a nerf, this is unbalanced. Would you like to have -5degen for 10 energy, or twice that for 5 more?

This skill is actually more effective than conjure phantasm and even more for for mesmer primaries such as necromancers. The change might have affected the energy gain from auspicious, but this skill is one of the very few useful mesmer skills in pve (due to high health degeneration and recharge time).Highway Man 06:21, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
