I got one of these daggers today after a Frostmaw run in NM. They are r10, so I figured I'd keep them to maybe sell them later on. However, after moving them to my storage character, I found that they were not max damage! they are 7-16! This is an item from a Dungeon End Chest, which is supposed to be high end! How the hell can non max weapons be dropping from a chest that you get 2(!) items from in NM because the dungeon is rated as one of the most difficult ones? (2k quest reward) I hope this is a bug... I can live with getting non-max items from monsters, but non max stuff from dungeon end chests is crazy. Zophar 15:51, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

I imagine it is always a possibility with those chests, but fairly unlikely. --Lemming 15:53, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm simply quite amazed that it even is a possibility. I mean, it is and end game chest after all. Imagine getting non-max stuff from the HoH chest or from the UW/FoW end chests. That would be quite upsetting as well, wouldn't it? Zophar 18:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

whoa.. req 8 dragon scythes move aside cuz i got one word for these babies... PWNAGE!!!

They are EXTREMELY rare daggers, so theres probably a lower chance of getting max dmg ones, even from end dungeon chests.
