This quest reminds me of Mac and Joe in the Hungry Devourer. Odd quests... Crabula 18:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

I think there is a bug. When you get 10 kills it adds 20 seconds to your time, but it still says his feeding frenzy is over with 20 seconds left on the timer. Can someone verify that they have the same problem? -Sol Ereptor 75.64.131.48 18:04, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

There was a history edit where someone eluded the same effect, they then undid the comment... It could be a bug, I can't confirm at this time but will keep an eye out this evenin MrPaladin 17:57, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
I have the same problem, but there is something weird. When the 20 secs end the timer disappears, but when all the time you've had (like 30 secs more for me) ends you see "The feast is over. Return to Chuno for your reward!" again. :\ — Golem.jpg Ciborg Main PvE.png 07:40, 07 May 2009 (UTC)
I have noticed the same thing but my time went from 13 seconds to 33. Then at 23 seconds the timer stopped and the "The feast is over" text appeared. RandwulfX 10:24, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Annoying[edit]

Not only does he not get credit for all the deaths, he doesn't even always get credit for the deaths of the enemies he's killing. So freaking annoying --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:65.184.76.241 (talk).

its not credit...watch him he has a skill like devourer person and he has to use it on a weakened thing...that's what is being counted not kills --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:98.150.27.87 (talk).

^ I understand that, that was my point.

one time he got stuck in a rock. just stood there and stared while i tried to not completely kill everything --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:67.53.239.102 (talk).

I had a glitch where Toma wouldn't move after the quest concluded. When I double-clicked on Toma, my character ran all the way back to the village near Chuno. Very odd if you ask me. RandwulfX 10:24, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Toma was probably reverse-rubberbanding :) He appeared to be standing still, while he was actually moving as he should. Paddymew 18:07, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Full Inventory bug?[edit]

A guildie just did this quest with a full inventory, and when asking for the reward, it said "Chuno tries to give you the Branch but your inventory is full." He dropped an item and Chuno still refused to give him the reward. Seen this before? 98.247.40.185 04:14, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

I haven't done this quest with a full inventory but it would go without saying that you would want to drop a common item to make room before taking the berry/ies. RandwulfX 10:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Just got owned by the full inventory bug...stupidly simple quest but its still annoying since he doesnt feast on every foe and is more like 1 out of 3. Justice 06:27, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Toma's got Bad Eye Sight?[edit]

I noticed when using Elementalist skills on creatures/kournans that Toma would not engage them. I found out with some trial and error that you have to be within a certain distance for Toma to "see" the target your attacking. RandwulfX 10:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

That's typical NPC behaviour. Heroes often don't engage foes that don't harm your party or are attacked by you. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 10:26, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm, never seen that before but then I don't watch what Henchies/Heroes are doing while I'm in the middle of a fight.RandwulfX 05:03, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Repeatable[edit]

Is this quest repeatable??? Tycars125 20:38, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes, just leave the area and come back --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Kalarian (talk).

Masterless Minions[edit]

This method doesn't seem to work anymore. I've been saccing, animating, and resurrecting for half an hour now and haven't gotten a single branch. Toma is eating the minions when they become masterless, but they don't increase the counter. Did some update render this method obsolete, or am I just doing it wrong? 64.15.81.27 11:32, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

I suspect that you are doing something that unintentionally nerfs the system. Toma has to be using his Feeding Frenzy (skill) to get credit for the quest: the target must be at 20% health or lower or it doesn't count. (If Toma kills it using other skills, it also doesn't count.) If the minions are too low in health initially, it's hard (perhaps impossible) to get the timing correct.
I had a lot of trouble with this method also...and I don't remember exactly what I did to resolve it. You might try using more durable minions, e.g. Flesh Golem or Vampiric. Or have each of your three necros bring the same minion skills, but differing rank in Death Magic and see which rank produces the minion that lasts long enough at low health for Toma to gain kill-credit.
Good luck and please let us know what you did to make it work. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:55, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
I've played around with it some more, and I still can't reliably get it to work. It's got me curious though. I'll probably mess with it some more, but I think it may be more efficient (for me, at least) to just take Toma hunting. =) I'll post back with what I find out. 64.15.81.27 09:22, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Feeding Frenzy[edit]

I have just been doing the quest for Nick, and I am seeing him use it on enemies with as much as 49% health. I think it is probably when they drop under 50% rather then 20%. Perhaps this should be noted and changed? - Rurik Telmonkin

No since it the skill says under 20% and the under 50% usage has been noted on the skills page. leechers.veeber.net 21:52, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
The quest only updates if the target has under 20% health, even if Toma might use the skill more often. 75.37.16.168 22:10, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
It updated everytime it used it for me. leechers.veeber.net 22:42, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Have you noticed he doesnt eat large bosses? He just eats their "boss aura". - Solet Reborn
