5 seconds duration? WTF? --Combatter 23:48, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

So interrupters don't hit someone casting a skill and think wtf. Needs lower energy and some time trimmed off recharge.--Underwood 23:55, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Used just before a spike works well I think, this skill was definitive overpowered and banned rupters from Builds... --Kali Shin Shivara 00:28, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

From 78 to 5 seconds?[edit]

Is this someone's idea of a joke? Surely the skill was not that overpowered. A much better update would have been to decrease the duration a bit, and increase the energy loss a bit until the right balance was reached. You know its not always necessary to hit the wrecking ball button on the keyboard when balancing skills... Flipper 03:29, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

/shrug, I'm happy to see this skill dead. It's a horrible idea to begin with. Dark Morphon 15:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh, hey. Look what I found -> Pious Concentration. Now people can run AoS and PC and not get interrupted or take damage. Stagnant meta is stagnant hurray! Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 15:49, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Ya, that skill needs a nerf too. Dark Morphon 16:11, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Dom mezzes have only 1 skill slot worth putting aos in. Pika Fan 16:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Lets talk about Interrupt Protection in general PvP (all formats)[edit]

First, it's fair to say that a 5s Resolve puts it into the same space as Glyph and Mantra of Concentration. Is that fair? I say it is. These are short term band-aids for launching a single key skill, but are useless when a longer term solution is required.

Second, some play styles involving an elite are permanently and inherently fragile to non-elite interrupts to the point where they can be completely nullified with 1 or 2 fast recharging non-elite interrupts. Consider an example of say, a Searing Flames character vs D-shot. The D-shot can be on something as ridiculous as a Word of Healing Mo/R, it doesn't matter as it's just as good. Without offering something long term against interrupts in PvP, non-elite interrupts are going to make a mockery of quite a few bars revolving around certain elites.

Third, the power of elite interrupts that bypass interrupt protection such as Powerblock and Psychic Distraction are devalued if interrupt prevention is rarely active. There would be a good case for Magebane Shot and Psychic Instability bypassing interrupt protection too if the long duration Mantra of Resolve was still in play. As always, knockdowns beat Mantra of Resolve too.

I say that killing MoR has unnecessarily narrowed the options open to players. Cirian 16:32, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

TBH I think this was a good move. Interrupts are just a fact of life, and plenty of builds work with the minor anti-interrupts like MoC. BUT!!!! Powerblock is still broken as hell because it cannot be avoided with anti-interrupts. That SINGLE SKILL has literally taken over 200 skills and tossed them in the toilet for pvp in any half-way decent setting. Seriously, most blood necs and water elementalists are now fast cast just becuase of it. I would honestly be quite happy if it got smiter's booned. Greep 09:42, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Pious Concentration has filled the old MoR's shoes for me in PvP. It's pretty damn good, and probably better balanced, although MoR is still basically dead to me. 10s duraction and recharge would be more like it for MoR, and maybe a pink special effect when it blocks interrupts as a visual clue to its presence.
