Namesake[edit]

His name is probably a reference to Saving Private Ryan. The thing that sparked this thought for me was the decline dialog of Honorable Combat: "You want me to charge behind enemy lines to find one soldier? No thanks!" Charging behind enemy lines to find one soldier is the context of the movie. The movie also takes place during World War II, from which Winds of Change draws many parallels. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 15:38, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

What are the other parallels? And it's a possibility but far from solid (Ryun=Ryan and that one line is all there is - the line itself may be inspired by the movie but doesn't mean the NPC is as well). Konig/talk 16:11, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
That's it really, which is why I posted it here rather than in a trivia section of the page. It probably inspired the name, but they didn't take it any further than that as far as I can tell. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 16:42, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Based on the context and his name I'd say yeah reference. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 16:45, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
