The other obvious reference may be to the Hulk, which Mr. Furious is the lame spin-off of. That line was written thinking of The Simpsons episode that parodies "The Shining." Homer's whole "Urge to kill... fading... fading... RISING! ... fading..." etc. If anyone feels like adding some more useless trivia, I can say that I named this quest after "The Mariner's Revenge" - a song by The Decemberists.
