what is the point of these?--Vhalantru 23:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
they're a unique weapon that you can get in the game. DBZVelena | (Talk page)

- Technically, they're a gold weapon you can get. They aren't green and don't come with inscription or mods. -

- Can these deal more or less damage than brass knuckles in actual competitions?--BahamutKaiser 14:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Requires Dagger Mastery? Is this why the normal attack damage for non-sins is low/zero? (Seems this balances out with Silver eagle armor and the Bison Cup.) Brownspank 09:36, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- The req is for using them as normal daggers, outside the fighting pit. Backsword 10:31, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Inscriptions / Upgrades
From the point of view of a non-assassin, is it worth going xx/A and putting 12 in dagger mastery? Also pondering viable mods to get the best out of the tournaments... Brawn over Brains (since energy isn't very important), Sundering Tang and maybe Defense mods? BramStoker (talk, contribs) 12:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Any comment on this? Does an assassin benefit anymore with higher dagger mastery while using them? Or a warrior with high Strength and high dagger mastery? SystemisFlawed
- You only need the weapons requirment for weapon power. The only other reason to raise it above the req is for the skills under that line, such as the dagger mastery skills. And a warrior with high strength is only gonna matter during the attack skills. I would rather see high powered attacks from an assassin with high dagger mastery (for the skills) then a warrior with strength and dagger mastery, since sins can use their runes.Ajc2123
- Just to clear this up with people; the skills do if fact do more damage if you use thunderfist's brass knuckles, but only if you meet the dagger requirement. However, the extra damage is not amazingly high; for example with brawling uppercut you can hit 96 with 12 dagger mastery and 14 strength. Only 16 better than using plain old brass knuckles. However, being able to inscribe the weapon may make more of a difference in the long run if you are using them in the Kilroy Stonekin quests and repeatable dungeon. 86.152.182.160 16:23, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- As for my testing, upgrades and customisation DO have some effect also in plain swinging. Agree on the Brawn over Brains inscription and on the Sundering tang (though I would give a try with the Vampiric to check if they work). No idea if armor handles have any effect, but I would also try a Dwarfslaying handle if I ever come into one! :) --Poorfool 21:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] dmg for Non-assassins
If you don't have assassin as your primary or secondary, are these daggers going to do any more dmg (or even less) than the regular brass knuckles unmodded?
No, it will be the same or even less, because you haven't met the min dagger mastery req- just use the regular brass knuckles then
