Talk:To Tahnnakai Temple
From Guild Wars Wiki
Ugh, this quest is driving me INSANE! For some stupid reason Mhenlo WON'T FOLLOW my group! And because Mhenlo and Togo don't meet, the afflicted don't spawn, and I can't progress in the Factions campaign. At all. Silavor 05:06, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- IIRC, you follow Mhenlo to the meeting spot. Not the other way around. Although sometimes he will get stuck, and then you can't finish the quest. Nbajammer

By stuck do you mean not moving at all? Because that's what he's doing... He appeared out of the temple, talked to me, and just stands there. Glitch FTL? <_< Silavor 05:15, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Ooh, I found the source of the glitch. Well, at least I think it's the source. Don't bring minions/wounded allies near him when Mhenlo appears, or else his programming gets jinxed when he tries to heal them and he won't continue on to the meeting spot. Just a word of caution for anyone else who has this happening to them. Silavor 22:05, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- OMFG, I got to the defending part. and it bugged. I kill ed the groups, and nothing happened 24.141.45.72 22:41, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I think moving Temple Guard Bai clear away from Mhenlo's path should solve this problem. Mhenlo's not following your group, he's trying to get to a spot. Same as Heroes and Henchmen trying to get to where you flagged them. When Mhenlo heals minions or wounded allies he gets a tiny bit away from his designated path and the Temple Guard becomes an obstacle in his way. I think moving the NPC to the other side of that gate would completely solve this problem. By the way this has happened to me 3 times in a row and I just don't care anymore. *sigh* Eleventh Panda 19:51, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Sometimes attacking afflicted groups will stop to fight Am Fah. It just happened to me, and the battle was out of radar range. Finally, only one ritualist and healer survived, and they got stuck unable to kill each other. I was really happy that I was able to find and finish them. :P Adul 20:35, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Anet, please fix this damned bug. Driving me nuts. Sjeng

The bug still exists, but for some reason he's completely disappeared from the area. Retraced all my steps, no Mhenlo. --neshot 20:04, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Happened to me once, kinda annoying having to start over (waste of time) hope it gets fixed :D C4K3

I'm zoning in and out now, will flag the MM away this time. --neshot 20:07, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Magically, he was right near the portal to Xaquang Skyway, fighting some Am Fah. --neshot 20:08, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
I've tried to clean up the bug note on mhenlo becoming stuck, whilst preserving the necessary info. It was grammatically failing, and far more verbose than it needed to be. Hope this edit is good. 69.249.223.63 02:20, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Mhenlo
I swear Mhenlo is not the every day ordinary monk. My build for ogden usually makes ogden survive for around 6 minutes tanking on level 20s (but gives foes health aswell) but Mhenlo was managing to heal to full in seconds at below 20% health.--The Elite Destroyer 23:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Quest in general
Fun quest, managed a lovely 39AR gold Jade Brotherhood Armguard during it, cool cutscene at end, shame about the sewage pipes - easy swine flu contamination, no glitches for me, got pissed off alot trying to figure out where to go with the map.--The Elite Destroyer 23:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't have a problem with Mhenlo getting stuck (although he did seem to take his own sweet time following me). I DID have a problem with Togo and Nika dying to a random afflicted mob that appeared on top of where they were standing. Friggin' afflicted monks and their ion cannons. -- Hong 15:00, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Another bug?
I just experienced a bug that prevents any NPC's from talking or going anyware after the fights. Nobody is in melee range of eachother, and the fight has already happened --~~Lotus~~ 03:24, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh ok, i figured it out, sometimes one mob gets stuck --~~Lotus~~ 03:30, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
