Talk:Z-axis

From Guild Wars Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Should this really be a future feature if it isn't going to take place till GW2, after all that will be a completly different game. Is this Wiki for GW as in GW1 or is it for the whole concept of GuildWars.

This wiki is for GW1 only, even though there's some articles for GW2 floating around while we wait for the new GW2 wiki to get online. The article on the Z-axis here is appropriate, though, even if only to say that there isn't a Z-axis in GW. :) --Dirigible 14:13, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
People click on "future feature" expecting to see things which are up and coming to the game. I click on it and all I see is a bunch of stupidly categorised GW 2 information. Anon

[edit] WTF

You can get attcked if your on a bridge by a melee weapon thats is under the brigde??? Think about it, would this happen in RL??? Othan that it sounds great!81.76.114.89 00:56, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

No, it wouldn't happen IRL, that's why its a sloppy mechanic. Or lack thereof. -Auron 00:57, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flight...

in Guild Wars 2 would be awesome o_o If it has Z-axis recognition it'd be possible too...as long as the ceilings for the levels were high enough...--Srakin 15:47, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Congratulations!

It takes all races of Tyria 250 years to learn how to jump. Congratulations. LoL Richi2k7 22:47, 15 February 2008

Good way to put it. :P --Dragon's Moon 05:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Still Relevant?

Does this still happen? I've honestly never noticed this. Earlier today I was running over a bridge with trolls underneath, and tried to attack...didn't work. I can't think of a time it ever has. I also casted some AOE on top and it didn't hurt those beneath. Briareus 06:43, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes, this still works. While you can't 100% of the time attack "up" or "down" many times you can melee attack something that is directly above or below you. A great example is being able to hit the Watchtower Guards during the Riverside Province mission. At a precise "sweet spot" a melee character can attack (and kill) the Watchtower Guard.
