Template:Guideline status

Purpose

This template should only be used on discussion pages. It is intended to document compliance with the formatting guidelines.

Usage

This template can be included several times.

Keyword parameters

For each key named as a "Guideline item" in the Formatting Guideline, describe the status of the corresponding guideline element. Suggested codes are:

• OK

The element exists and contains (opinion) correct information

• BAD

The element exists and contains (opinion) incorrect information

• Y

The element exists but the correctness of the contents is unverified

• X

The element is required and is missing

• x

The element is missing and is probably required

• N

The element does not exist and is not needed

• n

The element does not exist and is probably not needed

• ?

The element does not exist and the necessity of including it is unverified or the presence or absence of this element has not been checked

Please do NOT use images; the reports contain columns for each element that can be sorted by status.

Note

• In the status reports, the absence of any "Guideline status" templates on the discussion page is noted by ?
• If some "Guideline status" templates exist on the discussion page but none have the element keyword parameter, the entry will be blank.
• If more than one "Guideline status" templates exist with the same element keyword parameter, all the entries will be concatenated and displayed.
