Is there a purpose for the first line of the template?

Why was the table replaced with all that text? I liked those little shortcut boxes. -Smurf 08:44, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Someone hijacked the template to be used for some purpose other than its original intent, but left the originally intended links in place. Net result: the originally designed use is now broken, and there's a mess to be cleaned up. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 00:33, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
