This page is an accepted formatting guideline on the Guild Wars Wiki. It has wide acceptance among editors and is considered a standard that all contributors should follow. Before editing this page, it is suggested to gather consensus on the talk page first.

Colors are used in infoboxes to add recognizability to article types. If you are reading an article with a green infobox, you are visually clued into the fact that it is a skill article. Infobox colors should not be reused, except for templates of the same topic (i.e. using the skill color for the skill progression template, or using the corresponding color for its navigation template). Varying shades of colors should be used to indicate related topics (i.e. oranges are used for items and equipment, purples for places, etc).
