Edmond the Ranger

The wide open countryside of Ascalon, destroyed by the Charr, we are left to pick up the pieces, and perhaps restore it to its former glory. This is our job, this is our duty, this is our life. We are survivors, we have seen countrysides destroyed, families killed, innocent people cut down in cold blood. Since then the wells have run dry, the food become scarce, and life become difficult. For every Charr that is killed, two more take its place. This once beautiful world is now a desolate wasteland, filled with death and destruction. One day the end will come, be it good or bad, but until then, we must do all we can to survive. - Excerpt from the Journal of Edmond.
