Why? Because Samurai are badass.

I'll think of something catchy to say here later.

— In-game description

[edit] Attributes

[edit] Bushido (primary)

For each rank of Bushido, the Ronin activates attack skills 1% faster. Many skills that deal with passively increasing the Ronin's abilities become more effective with higher ranks of Bushido.

[edit] Budo

The Budo line increases the Ronin's ability to effectively fight in close-range combat, both by increasing the inherent damage and critical hit rate of two-handed swords and by allowing access to techniques that mitigate damage through, deal heavy damage with deadly sword attacks, and disable foes by Stunning them. The Budo line also holds Iaido skills, which provide the Ronin with sword-drawing and sword-sheathing techniques that can increase the effectiveness of the Ronin's offensive and defensive martial skills.

[edit] Yuu

Yuu abilities provide the Ronin with physical prowess ranging from Assassin-like movement to shouts and chants that raise the spirits of allies and strike fear into the hearts of foes.

[edit] Chi

The Ronin's sole ability to use magic comes from the Chi line. Each seven ranks of Chi grant the Ronin one extra point of Energy Regeneration, and skills that use Energy to cast spells become more powerful with higher ranks in Chi.

[edit] Equipment

[edit] Weapons

The Ronin typically equips a two-handed sword as a weapon with the option of equipping a sheath as an off-hand.

  • The two-handed sword typically deals 17-29 Slashing damage every 1.5 seconds.
  • The optional sheath decreases attack speed by 15%, but provides 16 bonus armor and allows access to Iaido techniques. The sheath can only be equipped with a one- or two-handed sword equipped.

[edit] Armor

Ronin armor provides 70 base armor and an additional 10 armor against elemental damage.

[edit] Mechanics

[edit] Stun

Similar to Knock Down, a target that has been Stunned cannot move, attack, or activate skills. However, unlike Knock Down, the base duration for a Stun is one second, and Stunned targets cannot enter Stances, use Shouts, or activate untyped skills with no activation time.
