The Soothsayers were an ancient immortal race that existed when time was young and the elements were still untamed. Soothsayers adapted to the harsh elements in their realm by developing the ability to interact with time, they could predict future events so that they could prepare themselves for them. Shortly after the phoenixes came to be, the race mysteriously disappeared. No one knows exactly what happened but the entire realm was thought to have been destroyed once the elements had become balanced. The phoenixes say that one moment they could see the realm, the next all they saw was nothingness; the phoenixes have not been able to access this part of the universe since.

The Oracle and The Seer

After the phoenixes were created two Soothsayers left their home realm and provided the phoenixes with much needed information of the future. After millions of years of service to the phoenixes they both were suddenly banished from living in the palace of the phoenixes. No known text speaks of why they were banished. These two Soothsayers were cursed to live in the physical realms. They must hide themselves from the inhabitants of that realm and if they should be found they can be asked one question and cannot lie. After they have answered they must move on to the next realm.
