(Discussion)[edit]

The henchmen in the first chapter use bad builds and are really a joke. Most of them don't even have 8 skills. Please fix these problems.

Devona
  • Uses Charge as an elite. Charge is useless in PvE combat as monsters don't kite in normal mode, and in hard mode they move faster so you are unlikely to catch them even with a run buff.
  • Counter Blow should be changed to Hammer Bash. Alternately, use Devastating Hammer as an elite or Earth Shaker.
  • Irresistable Blow is a waste of energy as a warrior. You're better off with power attack.
    • Suggestion: Devastating Hammer, Counter Blow, Crushing Blow, Mighty Blow, Healing Signet, Resurrection Signet, Balanced Stance, and Defensive stance.
Stefan
  • Does not use any adrenaline skills, and doesn't have Warrior's Endurance. Energy problems, anyone?
  • Uses Griffon's Sweep and Power attack as primary attacks skills. How about some swordsmanship-linked skills?
  • Uses Charge as an elite. At least use hundred blades.....
    • Suggestion: Hundred Blades, Sever Artery, Gash, Galrath Slash, Power Attack, Healing Signet, Shield Stance, Resurrection Signet
Little Thom
  • Brings too many energy-based skills with Charge as an elite.
  • Wild Blow wastes all adrenaline, and he frequently spams it.
    • Suggestion: Don't know yet.
Aidan/Reyna
  • Probably the least effective henchmen in the history of Build Wars.
  • Only attack skills are Dual Shot(which is pointless in PvE) and Power Shot(which is pointless ANYWHERE)
  • Uses Practiced stance with... KINDLE ARROWS? Seriously, learn to make better builds.
  • Lack of interrupt skills.
    • Suggestion: Barrage, hunter's, savage, dshot, lightning reflexes, troll unguent, antidote sig, rez sig
Alesia/Mhenlo
  • Their builds both suck. No condition or hex removal.
  • Alesia has Heal Other, which is pointless when they also have Word of Healing.
  • They use Healing Breeze, which is a bad skill for a primary monk.
  • Their resurrection skill is touch-range.
    • Suggestion: WoH, orison, healing touch, mend condition, mend ailment, remove hex, resurrect(or rebirth),
Lina
  • Lack of condition or hex removal
  • Does not use guardian.
  • Uses Protective Spirit as a self heal.
    • Suggestion: none yet
Claude/Eve
  • Use Vampiric Gaze, which is stupidly underpowered and should not be used
  • Grenth's Balance is a bad elite.
    • Suggestion: OoB, BR, Shadow Strike, Deathly Swarm, Deathly Chill, Well of Blood, Rez sig, and something else
Dunham
  • Uses Crippling Anguish as an elite, which is a bad choice for PvE.
  • Does not have Backfire or interrupts.
  • Shatter Hex is inefficient.
    • Suggestion:Empathy, Backfire, Diversion, Power Spike, Energy Tap, Energy Drain(at level 20), Ether Feast, Rez sig
Cynn/Orion
  • Mind Burn is an inviable elite and should not be used.
  • Aura of Restoration is an inviable self heal and is only good as a cover enchantment.
  • They don't use GoLE as energy management.
  • Fire Storm and Incendiary Bonds are both inviable.
    • Suggestion:Ether Renewal, GoLE, Fire attunement, Aura of Restoration, Immolate, Fireball, Phoenix, Rodgorts.
Why this is a good idea
  • Henchmen would not fail as much
Why it may not work out
  • Anet is either too lazy to do this or don't know how.
  • Henchmen would be better at playing the same then 90% of Pugs, not a way to promote Cooperation.
  • Because many of the suggestions on this page simply makes the henchmen fail harder.
