About the Real Me...
I'm 26 year old Assistant Property Manager from Northern California, I have been in the property management business for 5 years with one of the top management companies in the USA. Previously I worked in High End retail sales for companies including Nordstrom. I have 2 dogs--an 8 year old American Bulldog named Gracie and a 2 year old Papillon named Ajay.
My husband and I are both avid players of Guild Wars, as he is responsible for introducing me to the game. Aside from GW I love to play all the Zelda titles, The Sims, Street Fighter titles, several FF titles (my favorite is FFIV I have characters named Rydia and Rosa) and Neverwinter Nights. In Neverwinter Nights, Paladin is my favorite class, steming from my first Paladin encounter as Cecil Harvey in FFIV, followed by Ranger and Bard (they're "Spoony"!). Together with my friend Shard, who's user space is linked below, we are actively working on a NWN module. I'm still in the process of learning all the tricks of the trade with the Aurora toolset.
I'm best known by friends for being a huge Duran Duran fan (I had the pleasure of meeting Simon Le Bon and John Taylor on May 2nd, 2008 for the first time, fullfilling a lifelong dream of mine). I am in absolute love with Simon Le Bon, and I have followed him and the band on each tour since 1997, going to every show I can in all parts of California and Nevada. I have attended 13 Duran Duran concerts since 1997. I have been backstage at 2 (once in 1999 and recently in 2008) of the 13. I have met all the members except Andy Taylor.
I am in the process of writing a series of fantasy type novels about mercenaries. I draw as well, my works have won several awards in Norther California art shows, though I have yet to win in the California State Fair (though Simon Le Bon loved one of the portraits I did for him). My artwork is up for viewing on my myspace page (www.myspace.com/electricbarbarella27 and I do commissions and print sales when I can. Art prices are available upon request). I was an English major in college, which left me with a deep affinity for F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austin and Aldous Huxley. The Great Gatsby, Wuthering Heights and Frankenstien are my favorite novels of all time. Aside from my love of writing, reading and drawing, I love tattoos (unfortunately I only have 1, but a Duran Duran one is on my to-get list), rock and pop music (The Human League, Tears for Fears, Bauhaus/Peter Murphy, David Bowie, Stone Temple Pilots, The Beatles, Garbage, The Police, Nine Inch Nails, VAST, Madonna and Timbaland are some of my favorite artists). I love James Cameron, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schawzenegger, Kate Winslet and Harrison Ford's movies. The Terminator/Terminator 2 are my favorite movies of all time. As a child I collected X-men, Spiderman and Batman comics...and yes, I am excited about "the Dark Knight". I think Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are amazing...and Bruce Campbell is one of the nicest people I have ever met (see my myspace for pictures of me when I met Bruce).
In GW my favorite class is Mesmer. I also enjoy Ranger, Elementalist (in pve) and Monk--these being the characters I play the most. Please see below for more information on my girls (and 1 guy).
- About Yasmin Parvaneh the player...
My hubby, Adrin Alkavi (you can find his page under user:adrin) introduced me to GW almost 3 years ago. Since then its been an interesting ride. I started out with a ranger on his account--the original Rydia Merchan--until eventually it was evident I needed my own account when I decided I wanted to delve into the world of the Mesmer. If you know me as "Rydia", you've been playing a long time lol, as after purchasing my own copy of GW when Adrin and I moved into our 1st apartment, I became universally known as Yasmin. I began my GW career with an all PvE guild, TSOT and quickly drifted into the PvP world when Adrin met the imfamous Shard and the team behind Legend of Pi's unstoppable Rspike and some GvG fame. I mesmered on the Pi team that made high 60's on the ladder when Factions was still new. That was one of my favorite times, and a crowning acheievement for me. Since then some of the most amazing players have come and gone...and after a 6 month break follwoing the release of Nightfall I've pretty much stuck with the remaining Pi boys through various versions and reforms of the old guild, which is currently called Phoenix of Ascending [RiSe]--in general, I really do love this game. And yes, when GW2 comes out, I'll be playing that too...well so long as I can make a mesmer that is.
When not in PvP, I'm working on several titles for the girls. I'd like to max out about 20 on Dahalia, Yasmin, Zelda and Rydia (my main characters). Each of the girls gets 1 special title that the others aren't working towards due to the difficulty--like Ale Hound or Wisdom.

Dahalia, my ele, is working towards maxing out 20 titles. She is very close on Sunspear, Asuran, Delver and several others. Dahalia's special title is ale hound, and so far she has over 2200 mins drunk under her belt. Currently she can be found vanquishing and mapping back and forth between Tyria and Cantha, once completed she will finish Elona and GWEN areas.
Zelda is working on People Know Me and of course, making $$$ for the rest of the crew in her free time by doing UW runs, DoA, spider capping services or farming super secret locations. She gets a lot of requests to join the team in Halls or GvG, so you will see her online a lot. Once Dahalia's titles are complete, she is next in line to max out 20+ titles. Zelda's special title is Wisdom...currently she has ID'd over 800 rare items.
Yasmin is my main character, my account namesake and the one I pvp the most on, as well as who gets the most money spent on her. Yas is currently working towards the skill hunter title as her special title, and is almost done with Tyria and Cantha, but she's been slacking on Elonian skills though, she says its a bit hot out there. She'd like to finish off some of the protector titles as well when she has time...however PvP tends to keep both her and Zelda pretty busy. She is like 4 stones away from her tormented shield, so please feel free to pm me in game to see which I need if you are looking to sell.
I am vanquishing Tyria and Cantha on my Ranger Rydia. She might get around to Elona...we'll see...hopefully people will stop asking for Zelda on Vanquishes...Yes, Rydia did get her Dryad Bow. Rydia spends a lot of time in TA, RA and AB, so if you see her there, say "hi!". I haven't decided on Rydia's special title yet.
I haven't decided what I want to work on for my Warrior Rosa, my boy Mes Roland, my Necro Ava or my Paragon Sienna. Though I have sworn I will try to play on my Paragon more. If I have completed the other girls before GW2, then I will begin working on these characters. :P
