| Yumiko Kayko is named for the character in the novel Battle Royale. Her best friend in the book was another girl named Yukiko, which I named my main, and most prominent character partially after. This character is, like most of my characters, has been made for a specific goal in mind - Legendary Survivor. Oddly enough I had managed to get the first rank in Survivor relatively easily. But further ranks were denied due to a painfully unneccecary death just after completing the Consulate Docks mission. After this initial disaster, I have had much worse fortune in getting even to the first rank of Survivor. Currently (08:34, 12 January 2009 (UTC)) Yumi has again attained Survivor and is occasionally working towards further progress.
Yumiko is also my only Elonian character, and only Ranger. For a while I've resisted playing rangers, not for any dislike of the class, but because so many people already have one. (One guildmate has upwards of 3 on their ~8 slots.) As for being Elonian, I've not had any interest in the Paragon and Dervish classes as a primary profession, and most of my characters were created before I had gotten Nightfall.
