Make heroes shared over account.[edit]

Would A-net please consider this, I don't want to keep doing Nightfall/EotN for heroes and then farm for proper weapons time after time. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:83.83.124.139 (talk).

Yes, that would be nice. But don't do something stupid like make all of the runes and weapons we already have on them disappear. --Jette 19:52, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Level 20 heroes would make starter island nightfall a bit easy though, and adding morghan to the party while at the same time he's still a bad guy would confuse plot a bit. Sadie2k 01:01, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, the idea is, if you've already beaten Nightfall, Istan would be little challenge for you. About the spoilers... eh, I guess that's true. --Jette 01:56, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Heroes can very well remain locked until you get to the appropriate point in your campaign, and they can be of lower level, point to this would be only needing to get a single set of armor upgrades and weapons for your heroes. Biz 15:16, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
I meant, if you already have once unlocked the heroes on one character through playing the game, the rest of your characters will get them aswell, as it's not like you don't already know you're gonna get morgahn there and livia there and if you've already unlocked them once. As for new characters, just let them start on a low level, like 5 or something, to not make the starter places THAT easy (exception for pre-searing). edit:Didn't think of the possibility that you might be playing with other people that don't know morgahn is going to be a good guy, good point, perhaps use of a cover-up skin for those players, like give him Sogolon's skin or something. 83.83.124.139 08:47, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I don't really see how unlocking all heroes for all characters would work. There are quests and rewards for earning each of them, and while I admit it's a little tedious to chase after Zenmai more than 10 times, it's how I think it should be. Sure, I'd like to have universal runesets on my heroes too (or even universal upgraded armour) but I don't see a reasonable way to implement it... unless the hero remains "locked" until you meet the appropriate requirements? (e.g. finish the mission, quest or other objective you need to get the hero) You'd still have to do some playing to unlock them, but you'd unlock them with the armour and weapons that are "account wide". No idea if that's feasible though, programming-wise. -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 10:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
PvP only characters share the same heroes, why not PvE? just lock the heroes untill you complete the requirement like Elveh said, on the matter of elite hero armor however, just make it character-based, and the runes/weapons account-based, its like placeing them into storage, however, customized weapons might be a snag for this. but could possibly be fixed by allowing only the character its customized for to equip it, but allowing any character to unequip it.
