Your template[edit]

Hi Demonic Cobra, just wanted to let you know that I moved your "Template:Demonic Cobra/Aboutme" to User:Demonic Cobra/Aboutme and "Template:Demonic Cobra/Userboxes" to User:Demonic Cobra/Userboxes since they are templates solely made for your use rather than for the entire community. Please make subsequent edits at the new location, thanks. --Kakarot Talk 21:54, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh sorry. I just noticed what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for the heads up. Ill make sure it doesnt happen again. -- Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 21:58, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Not a problem :) Also one thing I just noticed is that on your talk page it appears that the edit links for each section are gone. After some searching around I found the cause of it; the __NOEDITSECTION__ on this page; and what looks to be a solution. You should just need to change the __NOEDITSECTION__ code on that linked page to {{#ifeq:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|User_talk:Demonic_Cobra||__NOEDITSECTION__}}. This basically means that if the template is used on your talk page it won't include the noeditsection but otherwise it will for other pages. --Kakarot Talk 22:11, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
It just happend again.. I moved it already. Its seems that Firefox doesnt like Wiki tonight. In most of the pages I do not have a navigation side bar + it is creating the wrong pages. Ill just get some sleep and try again tomorrow.. -- Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 22:13, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Just a question if you pop by again. Does this Show Preview stack up in your browser cache? It seems to me that when I use it a lot Wiki goes nuts. My navigation bar ( the left one ) is gone or the page style sheet seems affected by my own changes. Quite a odd bug it seems. -- Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 22:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
As far as I'm aware of show preview doesn't do anything to browser cache. As to the nav bar on the left pulling a disappearing act, I noticed that on this page it was pushed down below the content which I fixed with this edit. For that page you were simply missing the end tag for the table. If however you are experiencing the same problem on other pages link them here and I will have a look to see if figure out why it's happening and if I can fix it in a similar way. --Kakarot Talk 22:48, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

GWW:SIGN[edit]

Please read GWW:SIGN (again). You are currently signing with the name Cobra which is not allowed unless you own the account User:Cobra. ~ KurdUser Kurd sig.png 20:19, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I did read it (again) But there is nothing in the article about me not following the rules. It does say I may not impersonate an other user. But there is no user called Cobra at this given time. The signature is redirected to my user page, making it very clear that it is me posting it. But since its on the edge of the rules here, ill go ask it. -- Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 20:32, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Personally, i think it's fine for him to sign as that, as "Cobra" is part of his name. --JonTheMon 21:05, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm afraid there is a registered user named Cobra. The user doesn't seem to be active, but he's there, so unless you're the owner of that account, you're going to have to change it. Also, while it's not spelled out in policy, it is tradition that when someone uses a shortened version of their name in their signature, they register that name as well. Eloc Jcg owns the account Eloc, Wynthyst has Wyn, Indochine has Indo, and I'm sure there are other examples. This is so someone else doesn't register the name in the future, either accidentally or on purpose, and create confusion. - Tanetris 03:39, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thats a clear answer. I have changed it to prevent confusing in the future. I would suggest making it a clear rule in the Signature rule book. For the moment it is not very clear what a person may or may not do. Also there is plenty of people that have longer names then their user account. Are they expected to own the longer version account also? -- Demonic Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 09:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
It'd be nice. Got an example? - Tanetris 14:45, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) there is a similar case User_talk:Great_Darkwolf/ArchiveSpecial1#Signature here. WhyUser talk:Why Are We Fighting 22:31, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

In that same discussion is a Sysop explaining that there are no rules on shorting your username. I suggest to extend the rules on GWW:Sign to have a least a section about this. Make it clear what GWW wants. Note: I did edit my name so the discussion can end, but it will be handy to make it all clear in the rules. -- Demonic Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 07:36, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
That's why I posted it. Afaik you can have just Cobra in your signature, unless User:Cobra suddenly becomes active. WhyUser talk:Why Are We Fighting 18:47, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Its the second time someone started this discussion. Ill just stick with this name, to avoid any other discussion. But thanks anyways for posting it Why -- Demonic Cobra User Demonic Cobra Cobra icon.png 20:55, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
