your recent gw2w template addition

Hi Senti - there's a discussion on the template regarding whether or not everything needs a direct link. The current state of that talk page discussion is that only things with a direct lore connection should have one, and I've reverted the change to the Jade Armor NPC article as a result. However, since there has been lively discussion on the topic in the past, if you feel that NPCs present in both games should be linked, I would welcome your input in the discussion there as well! horrible 13:25, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Per your discussion, and your post, NPCs that are not, quote, "REALLY Generic NPCs (eg, Black Bear)" get the template. I think Jade Armor should be included as they're pretty specific even if non-unique - and would fall under "Species & some specific Exact-Same-Name generic NPC articles". Also, outside of mechanic/skill articles, I see a 4:4 (4:6 if all the IPs are different people) for removal:keep of the template. I think you over-emphasize your view for what is "current state". Senti (talk) 19:19, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Of course, felt more accurate to just use {{gw2w}} instead of {{gw2w|Champion Jade Armor}} since it's all practically the same thing over there. But I see that this discussion won't go anywhere. Why bother editing the wiki when it's run by 2-3 people who vehemently detest anything gw2 related like a dictatorship. Just looking at both of your histories shows more reverts than anything else. The Deep

The numbering 1-12 might match the Prima Guide, but the map of the deep still uses the numbers 1-15. WIll you amend the map so it corresponds to the new numbers? Otherwise it's just confusing and the change is less than helpful imo. Cheers, Steve1 (talk) 08:18, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

i didnt notice that but i can fix that later. i mainly wanted to create consistency because many many pages link incorrectly using section headers calling the first split one room like the prima guide. i figured the guide was the best point of reference for consistency.
