Lyricist / Dancer (Discussion)

Lyricist/Dancers is an idea I've gained through many games such as Final Fantasy and Ragnarok Online. They are, if added more of a support class. They would be more effective together with "Combo Skills" and I've made a list of skills for them as a demonstration of what they would use. Their Skills would have their range [The Distance Between "The Area" and "Earshout" ] And they use "Whips" and "Instruments".

I am a HORRIBLE drawer so don't expect me to make an image of them but if someone has one please let me see it and i'll upload it here. For the dancer imagine arabian dancers who wear cloth usually bright and translucent. For the Lyricist they would have more of a nomadic/wandering look.

Dancer Stat List

Dancing [No Inherit Effect] - Skills that work better or only work with Lyricists or other dancers in area.

Direction [ Whenever an ally's skill ends gives +3 Health (an extra 1+ stacked on top of the +3 default health gain for every 4 ranks in Direction)

Whip Mastery [Increases damage with whips] The whip may hit up to two enemies at a time. Enemies have to be either on the side or in front of character for a whip to effectively strike.

Stepping [No Inherit Effect] - Skills that don't effect others]

Lyricist Stat List

Serenade [No Inherit Effect] - Skills that boost or only work with dancers or other Lyricists within earshot.

Composition or Recitation [ Whenever an ally casts a spell gives +1 Energy (an extra 1 for every 5 ranks in Composition/Recitation]

Is this a Good idea?

I believe this is a good idea because a lot of players eventually get bored of playing on their current professions such as I do and would like to try some more out. I have almost every profession max level and have everything I want on them and have become somewhat bored of Guild Wars. That's why its a good idea.

Is this a Bad idea?

This COULD be a bad idea in some points in the skills I made above, they could become quite "Rigged" at some point and also a bit "Unneeded" at some point, but if they are carefully created to be balanced they could be a very good and fun professions.

Sounds like stupid professions. People are just coming up with anything now.

This sounds like it might need a small bit of retooling. Maybe instead of a Bard, a drummer, or instrumentalist?

The idea sounds good, but not for a player, more for a NPC.

Extra

Idea's from X Dervish Kyo X, this is my guildwiki name and my most used online character name so message me on the board, in the discussion portion above or in-game for ideas and such. High Priestess Adea (main character) or Tylaavaight made revisions to several things as well but X Dervish Kyo X still the original creator.

What the hell? No!? this is GW2! Let's not be Michael Jackson's fave MMO! Btw this is like a paragon.

We are not sure if the paragon is going to be in Guild Wars 2. Bard bears some resemblances, but the dancer is something different, and an idea of two classes combining their skills seems quite cool to me. Though I realize that dancers may be somewhat underplayed...

im a player tht isnt rly tht great only finished 2 storylines in GW which are prof and factions i muck up on other 2 coz of my lag but i have one thing to say: THIS IS A GREAT IDEA i mean cmon lets think about it a more muck around class is what id love in guildwars and no a drummer a guitarest YEAH!!!! and dancer YEAH!!!! id choose both of the classes straight away and it wud make GW2 a LEGENDARY game
