World of Warcraft style chat and combat logs (Discussion)

• Options to automatically save chat from specific channels.
• The ability to mute any channel.
• The ability to set the color of each channel.
• A combat log channel, with settings allowing specific elements of it (damage, ally skill use, enemy skill use etc.) to be shown, hidden and colour-coded.
• The ability to "call" items in chat channels.
• A drop log channel which can be turned on or off.
• Server-wide chat channels.

Why this is a good idea

• Automatically saved chat logs are simpler and take up less space than screenshots.
• A combat log would reduce the awareness advantages of NPCs in PvP.
• A combat log would shift emphasis from observation to reaction.
