- Why this is a good idea
Well it is based on getting at the endgame about 60 skills, but you only have 6 on screen at a time, they swtich from row 1-6, and it allows for fast-paced twitched combat as you cant sit there waiting for you next move. It has a Targeting Retitcle in a Fantasy MMO, and you can dodge both spells, and projectiles in real time. I think there should be 18 skills with their Variations, only 6 present, but you can switch to any of your rows at any time(unless DP or some other Morale system penalty lcoked some tiers), Spellborn uses an Assain Combo-like system too, I do not find that exactly nessacary, because players could create their own ideas on what abiities should be used first, maybe one elite skill per tier. And maybe tiers could fuse skills from different tiers. I was thinking these controls. WASD movement, z zaxis, Left arrow (up a tier), Right arrow(down a tier), up/down arrow(same self-explanatory), numbers 1-6 skills accrodingly, Also in Spellborn elite skills are more powerful but there is a penalty if they fail. i kinda of like that. They dont have an energy system, but rather 3 stats that are buffed and debuffed in combat. Your health, physique, and i guess magic/energy which affect the strength of your skills. I like the Skilldeck and I think GW2 would get the system they were looking for from it. Combined with the Targeting Retitcle.
- Why it may not work out
Well Its very Innovative and People may not be used to it...
If done inccorrectly could feel sloppy, or choppy, or feel too much like an FPS
Not enough time is spent on the the system( medicorce is the current standard for MMOs.) GW doesnt follow that standard. Keep it that way. Adapt and Evolve.
- I belive the current GW skills system is the best system there is 4 this game ^^ cap should b risen 2 10 though =P (but that's a different suggestion ^^)
