Guild Wars 2 Suggestions

(Discussion)

In GW1, armor bought by your character can ONLY be worn by that character. This should not be the case in GW2 and people should be able to trade/wear other players' armor.

Why this is a good idea
  • Would add wealth to the GW2 economy as commodity money.
  • Could make armor drops and rewards more feasible, which would make PvE more exciting.
  • Would add value to lower-level armor sets that higher-level characters no longer need.
  • Amazing idea and means you dont have to sit round Spamming WTB Ecto 5k ea PM ME all day. you could just go to the trade house (different idea) and buy that bit of armor already made!
Why it may not work out
  • Armor is no longer as much of an achievement (decreased value of possible Elite armor sets).
  • Armor is susceptible to being stolen.
  • New characters with low level will have max armor from the start from the high level characters (from the same game account or other players). However, if armor was to have level requirements, this issue would not be a problem.

Armours customized per account and not character (Discussion)

A player who has more characters (male and/or female) of the same profession and the same race should be able to equip the armours he buys to all the characters as described here.

Why this is a good idea
  • A new character in the same profession and race is like a "brother/sister" to the first character. Older brothers/sisters can give their armour to the younger ones, right? Yes.
  • It will make players to experience more types of builds for the same profession (W/E; W/R; W/D...)and not have to grind for new armour.
Why it may not work
  • Players with strong characters, can transfer armor from far away places (e.g. droks) to their new players, that just started playing!
  • What is the point of this if you could have a complete trade system to trade between any account/char. then if you did something your guild leader could reward you with a new set of armor or your mate could help you out.
