Social Activities (Discussion)
Different activities
It would be interesting that in the game (PvE) will be introduced different activities that can be both fun and useful for getting money. In GW1 there were challenges (glint, killroy, etc). I would keep this types of challenges but I will also add others that should not involve killing monsters. Call them mini games. Something like:
- puzzle solving for opening chests ( locks are made of different stones that should be moved around in a square to form a presented design – see Onimusha games) I
The looks will require thinking and not just buying a lockpick and click on the chest. There could be more types of locks depending on the region. Usually locks will be Asura made.
- Small gambling / party games. I don’t know how to call them but they will be based on luck or thinking. I saw something similar in Final fantasy X-2 or different games in the same category
- Working activities (repeatable quests) given by the same NPC
- carrying a different number of crates to a location not very far. - picking up different fruits from a tree farm - arranging books on the shelves (this could be a puzzle also) - etc
maybe others have better suggestions here
- Sport activities (repeatable quests) given by the same NPC
- Shooting a number of targets in specified time - Race - running from one point to another through different checkpoints with/without mounts (horses for example) - Fighting tournaments (already exist EotN) - Skill training - use a specified skill to defeat targets (already exists in Factions)
- Buying a house (actually something like HoM) where you can put all sorts of items, furniture, decorations, achievements, etc. It can be accessed through GH by any member of the guild (something like the guild trader where you find a list of all members houses on a list) without the presence of the “owner” but they can’t change anything.
- gives a new reason to earn / spend money
- Why this is a good idea
- it makes some variations in gameplay
Why it may not work out
- not very realistic
- boring
