Skills with more world interacion (Discussion)
Instead of just skills that do damage and mitigate damage and heal, add skills that are useful in the world. Like, making you jump higher or increasing attack/spellcasting distance. There can also be skills that can only be used in certain areas like a snow area where a skill makes you run faster on snow. Or a skill that adds health if you are near a tree or something.
- Why this is a good idea
- adds redundancy and boringness of skills.
- Skills such as 'short-range flight' or maybe 'Dig Trench' could add alot to both the fun and strategic aspects of the game.
- Why it may not work out
- Someone will find a way to abuse the game via some skills (jumping over melee characters to reach monks?) but still a very good idea, considering these skills could be nerfed in non-world pvp. It would rock in world pvp though...
- Nice, but too easy to exploit. Jumping over the ridges that keep you in the world, for instance.
- adds a lot of skills that can rarely be used, which isnt the concept of GW2 it seems.
