ArenaNet:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Forbidden Skills(Discussion)

When you finish the campaign's last mission, players can be given an ultimate skill that fits their profession and deals a very strong amount of damage and some side effects. For example, a warrior's ultimate skill could be... "Balthazar's Wrath," the warrior could deal 5 blows with three times the power each and fifteen seconds of burning. Or, an elementalist could have "Celestial Storm" and it would be similar to "Fire Storm" except each ball of energy would deal 90-105 damage each in a certain area an foes adjacent to the ones hit directly would be dealt 65 damage. Of course, there should be a limit to the skills, like "You can only use this skill after every 15 or 20 kills or can only be used once per hour."

Why this is a good idea

  • It gives players something else to look forward to after they finish the game.
  • Makes hard quests and vanquishing a little bit easier.

Why it may not work out

  • Can't be used in PVP or it may give an unfair edge to players who finished the game compared to those who haven't and PVP restricted characters.
  • May cause problems if cutscenes or overachieving in-battle graphics are used.
  • Takes away replayability from the game, given how something that was challenging before the end of the game would not be easy.
  • Would remove variety from the game - everyone would be using those overpowered skills.
  • Would make PvE imbalanced.
