Hall of Barter (Discussion)

In the Hall of Barter is a place where trading (and automatically meeting) plays a big role. In the hall, there is a huge office with Clerks and Barter Moderators. The job of a Clerk is to bind you with a player that wants to buy your item or has the item you want to buy. Barter Moderators check if there are no socially abusive things happening. However, they are simply just for decoration to fill the hall up with a more fun environment. All players have an unlimited slots of space where they can receive their bought items or place their items that are currently for sale. Items can also be bought with items, not only trading with gold for an item. That's the reason why it's called the Hall of Barter. Where this place will be located remains unknown (possible to discuss it at this page's Discussion). How the Hall of Barter works will be explained below.

Selling: To sell an item a player has to go talk to a Clerk and choose the option 'Sell Items'. A window with a 'Choose Item From Inventory' will automatically pop-up. After choosing a item you will need to choose a price for how much your planning to sell. After you've chosen a price, the item(s) you sell will take a spot in a slot, and you will need to wait until the item is bought and take the money from the slot.

Buying: Buying a item works almost the same. When talking to a Clerk you will have to choose the option 'Buy Items'. The window with a 'Choose Item' will pop-up, very similar how selling goes. When clicking 'Choose Item' you will need to find the item's name in a alphabetical list, and choose it. The item your buying will be inserted in a slot, and you will need to wait until a player that sells the item has been found to make the trade.

Why this is a good idea
  •  New way of trading which works for everyone.
  •  Always fair trading.
  •  New place to meet and trade other players.
Why it may not work out
  •  It might not work out if ArenaNet won't have a suitable spot to place the Hall of Barter.
  •  Might be too much to do for just a trade.
  • A low damage high req weapon isn't the same as a max damage low req weapon. There's also upgrade components and other bonuses.
