Make faction points meaningful (Discussion)
There's not much point to faction. You get to buy lockpicks for 1200, and you get the prestige of owning a town, but everyone knows the grind isn't worth it.
What if the faction points could be spent or used?
Eg 1 faction = 1 gold.
Or: the guild leader can purchase something that affects the guild as a whole -- like an addition to the hall, a festive item or fireworks, or something that affects PvE play ("all guild members temporarily have +1 health"), or something cosmetic ("all guild members temporarily have shark heads").
- Why this is a good idea
- Would build guild solidarity.
- Adds more meaning to guilds.
- Adds more interest and complexity to game.
- Why it may not work out
- If the faction points can be spent on items that affect PvE functionality, or that can be sold, there would be balance and economy issues.
