I feel like in Guild Wars your character often gets blocked, say when he is next to a low cliff. He should have the ability to jump off of that cliff and land below, rather than getting blocked by it as if there is an invisible barrier. Of course, you want to make some exceptions, like in Ascalon City.
- Adding my own edit, I agree 100%... There's too many "paths" in the Guild Wars environment, like the designers made it a maze instead of an actual world. Now, maybe having limited pathing helps reduce bandwidth, so that if toons can only go in certain directions then you don't have to program as many variables. But going down paths that only lead to dead ends is frustrating!**

- Makes the game more realistic.
- Makes the player more immersed in the game.
- Players would be less irritated with those stupid Invisible barriers.
- you can jump in gw 2 and swim they have already made it =D
- Why it may not work out
- Again, more time spent on programming.
To why not work out freedom of movement is already planned to allow these things.
