Multiple Quest Rewards (Discussion)

I give credit to this idea to the author of the post in the original GW2 scratchpad *however he didnt sign his commment* The original idea can be found HERE

Anyway, I propose the player be able to choose what reward he would like to receive from an NPC to develop his character. Some of the options could be...

  • 500 gold, 500 Exp, 100 Faction
  • 250 gold, 500 Exp, 250 Faction
  • 250 gold, 500 exp, 100 Faction, Weapon Reward
  • 0 gold, 1000 Exp, 500 Faction *increased Exp and Faction is due to player being willing to accept no physical reward from the NPC, therefore increasing his reputation with faction of the NPC and increasing his own personal ability by being satisfied with just working for the good of all*
why this is a good idea
  •   Such a system could really add more realism and opportunities to those who love the PvE of Guild Wars
why this might not work out
  •   Players could make stupid choises when still learning how to play. Which would make the game less fit for new players too.

A variety of weapon/armor rewards that you can choose from

If I am a Elementalist, I don't want to do a quest where the reward just gives you 500 Exp and a short sword, I want the ability to choose a staff if I want to.
