Guild Wars 2 Suggestions

=== (Discussion) When you buy armor you buy it for your class, and then it is custimized to you and no one else can use it. I don't like this one bit.

If you were to allow people to buy armor(this would open up the possibility of clothing) from vendors that sold all different types to any proffesion except limit the ablity to wear it by profession, armor traingin, and race. Say you had Sylvari Elementalist. It could only wear cloth armor(or clothing), but if you had a Norn Elementalist it could train to wear metal armor. The custimizing to one player and on player only would also be eliminated in order to allow players to sell what they have bought and upgraded.

This would also allow for vast elaboration as to the style and material used. You could have copper plate metal or steel chain link. Enormous combinations would be available, and it would give players a much greater ablility to be unique then with the limited profession-specific armor.

By allowing you to add emblems and change the color very specifically on armor peices you would increase the uniqueness of a player's armor even more.

Why this is a good idea
  • This would increase a specific player's image and would increase their uniqueness.
  • It would allow for players to sell armor and increase player to player trade.
  • It would allow for things like armor drops and armor rewards in quests.
  • Non profession specific armors are good as long as the necessary "armor level, are met but not as complicated as the suggestion suggest, all armors for all with the "correct armor level"
  • Why does elementalist have to look like "elementalist"? Its battle, you go in with the armor you think would best shield your characters. non-prejudice armor is good.
  • I think that you should be able to use the armor of your secondary proffession at least, because if an elementalist decided to be a secondary warrior in real life, he wouldn't go: "Ok, so I'm gonna go run out there in my cloth armor when I have enough money to buy some platemail".
Why it may not work out
  • It could become more complex than the casual player would want to deal with.
  • Armor trading is something that won't b in GW2 4 sure.
  • Try imagining ur cute little female ele buying armor from ur fellow gamer's female warrior, still looks reasonable??? -.-
  • A Norn ele wouldn't b able to wear a metal armor, because there would b more metal than the metal in a human's armor (not so light now, eh -.-)
