Personal notepad

When I play GW, I make a lot of notes. I have a task-list (it might have been a while since I last played the game). I have a list of things I have to look into ("note to self: get runes for Jora's armor, work out earth ele build for DoA, do quest for pain inverter..."). I make notes on missions, quests, and prior to doing them ("The Deep has the following environmental effects..."). I make notes for my GW blog. I make notes on people I want to talk to about this and that (guild recruitment, alliance recruitment)...

It would be awesome if all this information could be handled in-game. There's lots of ways the idea could be implemented. The easiest might be something like the Windows Notepad program. Ie, a text file that can be viewed, edited, and saved without the need to minimize the GW window.

A more complicated version is having notes attached to quests, map markers or items. (Eg when you look at a quest in your quest log, you can also add notes.)

It would be most useful as a directory hierarchy. For example, I could make a directory, "Items" and in that directory create sub-directories (like "Weapons", "Runes") or files containing notes like (like "The Mods I Want"). To mitigate server storage issues, this file could remain local.

Why this is a good idea
  •  A simple way to add a lot of functionality.
  •  Helps manage the vast amount of information that is required to play the game.
Why it may not work out
  •  Problems with file size?
