(Discussion)

We all love gold, but it makes no sense for Iboga plants and animals to be carrying gold. I know that animals have been leaving behind their life savings since the 8-bit Nintendo days, but that's kind of the point. It's been going on forever and no one ever really questioned why. Instead, players could salvage more from the more animalistic bodies. Likewise, humanoid enemies would be MORE likely to be carrying gold, i.e. the drop rates aren't really decreased, just changed based on enemy type.

Why this is a good idea
  •   It helps the game make more sense.
Why it may not work out
  •   Drops would become more predictable, and that would have a huge effect on farming. Not sure if that's good or bad.
  • It doesn't have to be realistic ITS GW not earth!!!

No gold drops (Discussion)

I think the person who suggested it above has a good point. I would go even further amd I would sugest that no "monster like enemy" will ever drop gold. They will drop something thats more appropriate for it to drop: armour, weapons, salvageable items. Players can sell this and get gold. If those items would be necessary to use for obtaining different items, than players will store them or just trade them as they do now with dyes, globes of ectoplasm, etc. Gold could be obtained from random "human enemies" and "gold mines".

Why this is a good idea
  • "gold mines" can be a repeatable activity (may replace farming)
  • "gold mines" may be also "gold hidden treasures" what players may find on the land.
  • trading items will be more intence
Why it may not work out
  • players will change farming with treasure hunting and mining
  • Gold Mines!?!? NO NO NO NO!
  • If the monster has no gold, why does it have armor?
