Shard's Issue -- 19:13, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- Issue
- Fire (especially aoe) has been buffed in every skill update since beta and is now so powerful that eles never need to bring utility because they can just solo-spike problem targets instead.
- Solution
- Fire magic does half damage in pvp.
- Solution #2
- Weapon mods that protect a certain type of elemental damage now also add +5 armor against non-specific elemental damage. Weapon mods that provide +7 armor versus elemental (or physical) damage now provide +12 armor, to make them worth taking over generic +5 armor mods and to combat a metagame issue at the same time.
Alternate fix that wouldn't make Anet look even more lame
- Issue
- Keeps getting buffed. There are a few, overpowered, skills and everything else either sucks, is inviable, or is just plain pointless, and the rest is fine as it is.
- Suggestion
- Nerf the overpowered stuff, buff the skills that suck but don't make them overpowered either.
Stat's Suggestion
- Issue
- Fire should do the most damage, but has the problem of stacking too well with others team members also using fire.
- Solution
- Make fire magic suffer from some sort of diminishing returns. My suggestion is to make many spells do about 28 less damage, but inflict burning for 2 seconds. This would buff vs high armor targets, especially rangers, but might make Melandru's Dervishes too powerful.
