- Issue: This is part of my "make Smiting viable" campaign. Give this skill a better defensive ability than it has atm and make it not only prevent a single KD.
- Suggestion: "Elite Enchantment Spell. For 3...10...12 seconds, whenever target ally would be knocked down by a foe, that foe is knocked down instead." *5 Energy *0.25 Activation *5 Recharge.

- Suggestion: "Elite Enchantment Spell. For 3...10...12 seconds, whenever target ally would be knocked down by a foe, that foe, and all foes withing earshot of that foe are knocked down instead." Now THAT might be worth it, particularly as you could use it with 0 in smite like a prot spell when you saw an incoming warrior.
- Alternate suggestion: "Elite Enchantment Spell. For 3...10...12 seconds, whenever a party member would be knocked down by a foe, that foe, is knocked down instead." Mass single use knock down prevention, but I still don't think anyone would take it... 79.67.101.254 21:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Falconeye's Issue
- Issue: As above; while protection line focuses on "active defense" (Aura of Faith), smiting should emphasis "active punishment" (Reversal of Damage) and offensive support.
- Suggestion: (5e / 1/4c / 5r)
- Elite Enchantment Spell. (5...9...10 seconds.) The next damage dealt to target ally is negated, and attacking foe is knocked down and takes 15...51...60 holy damage.
- Appendum
5 ¼ 12 - (Smiting Prayers) - Elite Enchantment Spell. (5...9...10 seconds.) Whenever target ally would be knocked down, the attacker is knocked down for 2...4...4 seconds. Whenever target ally causes a knockdown, that foe is dazed for 0...4...5 seconds."

Justice's Idea

- Elite Enchantment Spell
- Target ally is enchanted for 1...8...10 seconds. Target ally cannot be knocked down. Whenever target ally causes a knockdown, the foe is dazed for 0...3...4 seconds.
- Give the spell a real offensive edge. Only at high ranks in smiting will it become a seriously deadly enchant.--Justice 10:28, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

- For 10 seconds target ally cannot be knocked down. When this enchantment ends one random foe adjacent to this ally is knocked down and takes 15....55 damage.
