Cursed Angel's Discussion
- I like the idea of a mini-Shield of Judgement, but to prevent this from turning into a pre-prot form of pre-nerf Clumsiness, the damage should be low-ish (5..65 range) and it shouldn't prevent any damage, just cause damage and do a knockdown after the next attack.--Skye Marin 05:26, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
"Elite Enchantment Spell. For 5...17...20 seconds, whenever target ally would be knocked down by a foe, that foe is knocked down instead." making it not-ending the next time you would be KD is a good way to balance this , and it's still linked to smiting prayers 189.70.170.208 15:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- It's main function should be to nuke KDs, KD's are pretty poweful. my tweak idea: 1/0.5/3 the next time target ally would be knocked down, one nearby foe is knocked down instead.
- First suggestion would be broken. Have we learned nothing from aura of stability? The current form of pendulum isn't even that bad anyway. Possibly even an underrated skill. Pluto 23:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- That would be terrible. Dual-smite is already meta in some forms of PvP. Leave as is. --Readem 23:20, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- This is fine as it is now, short cast short recharge, active form of anti-KD. Dark Morphon(contribs) 15:06, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- This skill is okay. It may not be the most potent skill in the game but in the right situation it can be quite powerful and used to its' fullest. You just gotta know who, what, when, where, and what else the player is taking; very much like every single other skill. It's just that this skill can't randomly be put on a bar and be "pwn" like BA or AoL or ZB. Lost-Blue 01:36, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Compared to Healing and Potection Prayers, Smiting has no real good (support) elite besides Signet of Judgment and this one has potential to become good (not OP). But I removed the "weakness infliction" part, because that would be too good and doesn't fit to monks. A. von Rin 01:46, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

A. von Rin's Discussion
why are you suggesting a nerf? 76.26.189.65 01:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I guess Cursed Angel only deleted his idea because Readem didn't like it. I still think this skill should be improved (slightly). And that's a buff not a nerf. My idea is to change it into an elite form of Aura of Stability. Atm it only prevents a single KD and Aura prevents several ones. But with this change you have to balance the duration, otherwise it would become OP. With it's low recharge the duration nerf is no big deal and the effect was improved a lot. Pls read first the description of skills before assuming something! A. von Rin 01:39, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- currently only reason this is run is to beat gothway team in TA. with the 20 seconds duration 1 monk can maintain it on his entire team 76.26.189.65 00:51, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Izzy won't implement that change. You do realize he's trying to do away with passive prot and shutdown, right? AoS got nerfed to be unmaintainable on anyone without weapon recharging. Why would he allow this to not only be maintainable anti-KD that doesn't end early unless stripped, much like AoS, but able to target the caster and KD the foe? 76.89.81.150 00:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe because it's an elite and it is in a bad line? A. von Rin 14:08, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- I actually quite like this elite. All it suffers from is being in smiting. If it was in prot, maybe we'd see more midliners using it. -- NUKLEAR IIV 14:10, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- I understand that this is a pretty useful elite, but its not one I've seen on monks. This is mostly run on mesmers (as far as I've seen). Monks need a good Smiting elite, since they no longer even have Signet of judgement, which was an ok monk elite at best. I was thinking of something similar to the mini-Shield of Judgement idea, except instead of dealing damage, it can give a heal similar to Reversal of Fortune. That would be something monks might use.{Edit:, this idea would probably better for some other smiting elite, probably word of censure, since that is awful.}Arcdash 01:42, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Falconeye's Issue
There's a typo or editing mistake. Specifically "the attacker is knocked down for instead". -- Gordon Ecker 08:16, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed ^_^ --Falconeye 06:00, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
