Rising_Dusk's Thoughts - 17:14, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Issue
- As cute as an energy management elite in Blood Magic is, it really isn't valuable with Angorodon's Gaze, Masochism, and Soul Reaping present. I suggest entirely diverting from the reduction in energy approach entirely and go with something a bit more aggressive in the way that Blood Magic can be.
- Effectively serves as an elite version of Dark Aura. I really like the dynamic this would provide to Necromancers, particularly life stealing abilities that sacrifice life. It provides a life stealing counterbalance to the sacrifice, which can result in a net gain or a net loss depending upon how many enemies are around you. This really takes away the downside to sacrificing by giving you the chance to redeem it with stolen life from numerous foes.
- The possibility of needing a PvP version exists because of blood spike issues. If anything, just an increase in reload and mana cost would balance it out for PvP is it's even an issue at all.
- Uses the Blood Magic attribute because the life stealing and sacrifice-interaction would see the most usage there. If someone wanted to use it with Dark Aura, they both wouldn't be at full power (without sacrificing Soul Reaping), limiting the amount of damage that can be dealt in an area around the Necromancer.
- I feel that its value is probably far greater in PvE due to the large number of enemies you can get to surround yourself at a given time. This would really encourage an aggressive sacrificing play style, which would be quite fun for Necromancer players.
- Suggestion
10 2 15 - Elite Enchantment Spell. (20 seconds.) Whenever you sacrifice life, you sacrifice 50...30...25% more and steal 5...21...25 life from foes in the area around you.
