"The Power Is Yours!" (last update: August 7th, 2008)
Johnnyrodrigues 19:01, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Issue
- It's not a very appealing elite. No matter which way you use it in a build.
- Suggestion
- "Elite Chant. You lose all energy. All other allies/party members within earshot gain 1 energy (maximum 25) for every (5...2...2) point(s) of energy lost.
Notes: Changed the functionality of the skill to better suit the name of the skill. Instead of energy regeneration this skill now gives energy directly to other party members without being overpowered because of the high adren cost and the shout changed into a chant that makes it possible to interrupt (and has the cool wings animation :P). The energy loss for a paragon user should happen before the energy gain from leadership (i don't know if it's possible to happen, but would make paragons better suited to use it) fueling energy to both party members and self. Below you can see a table of the progression of the skill.

Advantages:
- More Energy to party members
- Direct energy gain
- No recharge
- Energy gain from leadership (needs confirmation)
Disadvantages:
- High adrenaline cost
- Lose all energy
- Interrupt possibility
- Elite slot
- Only affects allies/party members within earshot.
- Limit to maximum possible energy gain.
Edit: Examples of use:
average paragon char during a battle with 15 energy available and 12 in motivation: 15/2=7.5 energy to party members.
average Paragon char with 30 energy and 8 in motivation: 30/3=10 energy to party members.
average Paragon char with 30 energy and 12 in motivation: 30/2=15 energy to party members.
average Paragon char with 30 energy and 16 in motivation: 30/1=30 but reduced to 25(max) energy to party members.
average spellcasting char with 50 energy and 12 in motivation: 50/2=25 (max) energy to party members.

ShadowFog's Issue--ShadowFog 12:34, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- Issue
- Allies dont recover any useful amount of energy. Only the Paragon using it gains a lot of energy. There's no concept of Paragon Battery with this.
- BiP and Blood Ritual are better solutions.
- Captain Planet would be disappointed if he discover this skill although Captain Pollution wouldn't mind."The Power is Mine"
- Suggestion 1
- Elite Shout. (0...14...17 seconds.) Other allies within earshot gain 0...1...1 Energy regeneration.
- 5.1 energy recovered. The Paragon will gain energy, obviously thanks to Leadership and so will it's allies with this skill. BiP and BR are still better but this skill doesnt requires any attention from a healer.
- Suggestion 2
- Elite Shout. (0...6...8 seconds.) Other allies within earshot gain 0...2...2 Energy regeneration.
- 4.8 energy recovered. A faster version of Suggestion 1.
- Suggestion 3
- Elite Shout. Every other ally gains 1 energy for each ally withing earshot for a maximum 0...6...8 energy gained in this way.
- It's requirements might need some tweaking.
Magic's Issue
- Issue
- Been thinking over this for a while. IMO, it has two main issues. 1) It can be used to almost if not constantly maintain Echoes. 2) The skill effect itself really isn't helpful. Also, compared to other energy management skills of this and other classes, it's quite unbalanced as an elite.
- Suggestion
- Every skill has a specific purpose. When I look at the skill it seems to me it would be used mid-battle and not something you'd keep up constantly. Therefor, I'd give it this function:
- PvP "The Power Is Yours!" - 6,
0 1 10 - (Motivation) - Elite Shout. For 5 seconds, all allies within earshot gain 0...2...2 Energy regeneration.
- PvE "The Power Is Yours!" - 6,
0 0 10 - (Motivation) - Elite Shout. For 10 seconds, all allies within earshot gain 0...2...3 Energy regeneration.

Why: Giving the skill the higher adrenaline cost, you're forced to use it father into a battle. To me that's when you'd need it. Seen in discussion, it seems like people were more worried about how it affects their character when yo me it looks to be more of a support skill, just like the rest of Motivation. The recharge added to the skill was to break the cycle for echoes. Have a skill that could practically maintain echoes seemed over balanced. With the recharge, it breaks that cycle. TBH, I'm not sure why I gave a nerfed duration to the PvP skill.. it just seemed right. I'd like some input from others about that if you would. I'm not the biggest PvP'r so that might need a tweak. As for the activation time, that's for that chance to be interrupted. The regeneration was also reduced by 1 just to balance out how much energy is actually gained for common builds. For the PvE side, it's pretty basic. The duration was extended to 10 seconds due to the duration of the average battle. The regeneration maxes at 3 due to the fast that you're using more or more costly spells then you would for a PvP tactic. All input is welcome [obviously] and I'll keep a watch on this to change it if someones input makes sense to me. Keep in mind that you don't want to only buff the skill.. it must keep balance.

195.66.94.4 Issue--195.66.94.4 14:50, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Issue
- this is useless in compared to other e-man skills. It should also be made in a way that the energy is recovered sooner, the paragon should not draw more benefit from this skill more than any other player and lastly make it scale better with motivation. Motivation needs a tweak in its current form it's less than useful, exception if in a paragon only party.
- Suggestion
- 3
- Elite Shout. For 1 second, Allies within earshot gain 1...5...6 Energy regeneration, you lose 1 energy for each affected ally.

- In this way the paragon won't gain any more than other allies, in higher levels of Motivation it will be give more energy than its current form. It will also make it better in use with Finales.
- (if this suggestion is implemented make all Echoes count as enchantments to make them more balanced)
