TimeToGetIntense's Issue
- Issue: Mediocre, overshadowed by better skills, sword needs more interesting skills.
- Suggestion: Add utility, for example, "If your target suffers from a Deep Wound, that foe is Knocked Down."
I don't think adding knockdown to non hammer warriors is a good idea, Hammer warriors are all ready scarce Izzy @-'---- 23:32, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- Revised Suggestion: "If your target suffers from a Deep Wound, that foe is Dazed for 1...3...4 seconds." As far as I know, a really short duration Daze isn't in the game yet. All the Daze skills are long duration/long cooldown compared to other shutdown skills. So I don't think this suggestion would step on any toes.
Wisteria's Issue
- Issue: Same as above.
- Suggestion: Galrath Slash 5 Sword Attack. If this attack hits, the opponent suffers from Cracked Armor for 5..10..20 seconds.
- Reason: Giving sword the ability to apply Cracked Armor will provide much more synergy among skills; giving swordmanship the synergy will promote it's usage.
Lann's Issue -- 12 June, 2008
- Issue
Can't really follow up a spike like executioner's
- Suggestion
- Make it give cracked armor if target foe is suffering from bleeding
- Make it like agonizing chop, interupts bleeding foes
Please be reasonable, people.
Please stop trying to make every skill elite. this is a game trying to maintain balance, not uber-godliness amongst all. Cracked armor is a good idea, but not for this skill.

Lack of utility 86.31.57.0 16:19, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- On the face of it these skills do pretty good damage but are balanced with pretty high adrenaline costs. However, they can't really be chained with anything and unlike Executioner's Strike they are sword attacks and so lack high criticals and a good elite to follow from.
- Suggestion 1
- Change damage from +1...32...40 to something like +5...25...30 and add Bleeding for 3...10...12 seconds or whatever.
- Reasoning
- Bleeding is pretty rubbish but it would allow players to use Gash without taking Sever Artery (no +damage) or Crippling Slash (elite) for example. It would also prevent use of both Galrath Slash and Silverwing Slash together since the Bleeding wouldn't really stack.
- Suggestion 2
- Add "If target foe is suffering from a condition, you inflict Bleeding for 3...10...12 seconds". Possible reduce the base damage slightly and add some extra conditional, say +2...10...12.
- Reasoning
- Again, it would allow Bleeding and thus Gash in another way but since it's conditional it would not eclipse the alternatives. Warriors would also have to take another skill to inflict a condition in the first place, which might be tricky. This would prevent it from becoming overpowered.
- Note
- Also, it should be noted that both varients of the skill are called "slash"es so Bleeding makes a lot more sense than Deep Wound for example. Also, adding Cracked Armour is a great idea but not on Warriors unless it's conditional and/or hard to use, otherwise ANet won't like it because they are trying to encourage hybrid bars and/or teamwork.
Rework StatMan 05:45, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I propose a adrenalin Seeking Blade type skill for Galrath Slash (possibly change to Galrath Gash :D). Cost: 5a. Effect, +1...16...20 damage, if blocked, opponent takes 1...16...20 damage and suffers from deep wound for 1...12...15 seconds.
Silverwing Cost 6a. Effect + 1...16...20 Damage, next attack against you is blocked and foe begins bleeding for 1...18...22 seconds. Essentially a bit like deadly ripost or ripost, but not as severe consequence. Adds bleeding and utility.

Comments & Suggestions Here, Please
- Issue
- Pure damage skills aren't too useful, but these have a high adrenaline cost and slow use.
- Suggestion
- Adding a activation time would shrink the window that a warrior could dish out these skills, with or without an IAS. While it would still keep them limited to pure damage, they would be more useful in places like PvE. If this isn't enough to entice more people to use it, lowering the adrenaline requirement by one or two strikes could also work.
