Honestly, does anyone care? -- NUKLEAR IIV 18:26, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm.. let's see... The people who care bought Factions and expect the skills from Factions to be viable? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.233.7.140 (talk).
- People should. Elite skills in the same line should all be roughly equivalent in overall useability and power level. This is all around inferior to Searing Flames. It's people like you who "don't care" about the balancing that are the reason for the current bad balancing-you don't help complain about underpowered skills so they don't get buffed. In the meantime, we only have about 100-150 useable skills. But if that's the Build Wars you want, go ahead. Just don't blame me or anyone else when you quit for WoW 2 years later. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.174.26.182 (talk).
- Excuse me? I very much 'DO care, if I didn't, I wouldn't have bothered to cleanup a good deal of this place. So, next time, try not to insult my credibility.
- Furthermore, I do care for Star Burst. But I do not care for a minor tweak that nobody on earth would notice. So what if it's ranged - Searing is still better.
- tl;dr: Your suggestion is an insignificant change. -- NUKLEAR IIV 20:36, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I'm reviewing my suggestion, this time requesting a more aggressive buff. Please re-read and review. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.230.18 (talk).
- If you are going to do that, keep it at touch rage for the lulz. This version is a souped up fireball now. -- NUKLEAR IIV 15:44, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well it's elite, deserves to be souped up. Besides, Guild Wars lacks something like this-an elite fireball with more range and fast cast without any conditional. Oh, and it doesn't have any more spike potential than liquid flame. Maybe I could give it half range or something, it would work well with lava arrows. I'll review my suggestion again to make it less useful for spiking. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.230.18 (talk).

Bathory's suggestion
NO. This skill needs a buff but your suggestion will cause more spikes than Mallyx has.
Looks inferior now that DD had a buff
After the Double Dragon buff, I tend to think this looks inferior - touch range nearby vs nearby from caster location (PBAoE), potentially can cost 5 more energy, DD gives a buff to fire magic whereas Star Burst recycles roughly 1/3 faster (10s vs 15s), so that's more of a tradeoff. This skill does have the advantage of no 3/4s aftercast delay, but that is not so bad compared to the old 1.75s delay for PBAoE spells. Some builds use DD almost exclusively to buff fire magic, whereas this doesn't have as much utility. My personal opinion is that it should be 1/4s or 1/2s cast and Blind and maybe Daze for, say 3s and do less damage (so it becomes more a utility skill that can save you from 'sin spikes and possibly anti-caster - on the flipside, 'sins might use it on their bar, too, if it caused daze). --Falseprophet 17:52, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
