This does work the way the description states though. The skills you mentioned, like Anthem of Weariness make the next (attack/spell) cause weakness. This Ward causes weakness on the Elemental damage, which isn't inflicted until after the spell completes. While it would be more useful by changing it, I don't see how that would be worded. True, but it's just odd that some effects cause something before it hits (Glyph of Immolation, Anthem of Weariness), and some things cause it afterwards (Anthem of Flame, Ward of Weakness). It should all be either one or the other imho. It just feels so unfair that Fire Magic gets all the fun (Glowing Gaze + Glyph of Immolation) and Earth doesn't. 145.94.74.23 07:50, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
